About This Event

For Auckland Design Week, GreenAir built a living Japanese garden inside a raw warehouse space, a quiet counterpoint to the city outside. Raked gravel, moss, stepping stones and Japanese maples were composed into a calm, considered landscape visitors could move through, bringing the stillness of a courtyard garden into an urban interior.

a garden indoors

Layered moss, ferns and maples were set around raked gravel and stone, so the installation read as a real garden rather than a display, with texture and detail that rewarded a closer look.

stillness in the city

Paths of stepping stones and timber drew people through the space, framed by tall windows and the skyline beyond, a moment of calm built to be walked into and lingered in.
